Ummm....yeah. I have given up pretty much all hope in the show, especially if Crystal Bowersox does not return due to her illness. Last night was a mess. I think out of the ten guys there were seven that were terrible, two that were okay (the last guy, and the mullet kid), and one person that was pretty good (Michael Lynch, basically the shows Jesus right now!).
As I sit and watch the disgrace happen, I have to wonder if the producers realize the show is a joke this year and that literally EVERYONE is talking about how there is no talent. And as for the judges given more positive comments last night, I honestly feel that the producers most likely told them to not be so harsh, and to try to be constructive. People, this is the worst top 24 we have seen so far, and with the show being in its ninth year shouldn't it be more amazing than ever? I would hope so!
Either these people need to chose better songs, get over their nerves, or get out of the game. I guess if they did that we would be left with like 3 people. I will be missing the first hour of tonights show due to the fact I sadly have a job, but will be able to catch that second hour. Hopefully the girls will outshine the guys, because if something doesn't happen soon and fast, I am done with the show!

American Who??

Are producers sure they want to call the show American Idol? I think it may be time for a title change.
After last nights top 12 ladies sang, I think many of us can come to an agreement that not one lady who performed has the chops to be an “Idol”. From the looks of things, the judges became lazy. After Paula’s departure from the show and Simon announcing it’s his last season, I guess they didn’t feel the need to choose real talent to make it to the top 24.
Despite the high number of painful performances, I will say that Crystal Bowersox and Haeley Vaughn, both of which strummed their guitars last night, performed very well. The two have a unique sound for the show. But like Simon said to Crystal, a million other girls are on the street singing the same way she does. However, for American Idol, their sounds work.
On another note, Ashley Rodriguez who sang Leona Lewis’ “Happy” gave me little hope for her singing career, but as far as style goes, she gets two thumbs up! She wore a glossy cream-colored crew neck motorcycle jacket with fitted skinny jeans, open toe pumps and a gaudy but extra fashionable ring on her index finger. She may not have the best voice, but she has the hottest style on the show.
Tonight the top 12 guys will give it a shot. Hopefully they will bring the heat or my television may say so long to Idol!
